Tonight’s session at the Crucible is potentially one for the insomniacs.
I apologise if that sounds harsh, but nobody is expecting an early night considering the matches are Mark King v Steve Davis, which couldn’t be closer after the first session at 5-4 to King, and Peter Evison v Graeme Dott.
Davis is a true grinder these days as he is unable, at the age of 52, to produce his robotic break-building form of old, whereas King is no whirlwind at the table.
Dott and Evison, of course, contested the latest-finishing Crucible final ever in 2006 when Dott prevailed 18-14 at 12.53am. Just imagine if it had gone the distance…
I’ll keep you updated with all the significant developments…and if you can’t sleep, don’t worry, I’ll be here!
